Work out materials before the delivery, not after
Calcrete is a set of free building material calculators. Everything runs in your browser, needs no account, and shows the working rather than just a total — the waste allowance is a separate line, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Structural work
The concrete calculator handles slabs, strip footings and columns, with cement, sand and gravel for grades M200 to M400. The screed calculator turns floor area and thickness into bags of dry mix. The brick calculator returns counts allowing for format, wall thickness, openings and mortar. Insulation counts slabs and packs, while roofing turns plan dimensions, overhangs and pitch into covering and trim.
Finishing
Tile is counted in tiles and packs, grout from the joint geometry and tile adhesive from area and trowel profile. Floor leveller uses average depth, laminate rounds to packs, drywall includes framing and fasteners, paint uses coat coverage, and wallpaper counts full strips and rolls.
Why area-based estimates come out short
Almost every material is sold discretely: in packs, bags and rolls. Between the calculated area and what you actually have to buy there is always a rounding up, sometimes more than one. Tile occupies its joint as well as itself, a roll of wallpaper yields a whole number of strips, and there is no such thing as a part pack of laminate. These calculators count the way the material is sold.
FAQ
Are these calculators free? expand_more
Yes — completely free, no account, no installation. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
How accurate are the results? expand_more
They are based on standard consumption rates and nominal material dimensions. Actual usage depends on the manufacturer, the state of the substrate and how the work is done, so check the packaging before ordering.
Can I share a calculation? expand_more
Yes. Every calculator keeps its inputs in the address bar, so a copied link opens with exactly the numbers on your screen.
