How it works
Material weight equals floor area multiplied by average layer thickness and the product consumption for each millimetre of depth. The allowance is applied before the result is rounded up to full bags.

Average fill depth controls the order
Take level readings across the floor rather than entering only the minimum layer at the highest point. The average fill depth captures the low areas that consume most of the material.
At the page defaults, 200 sq ft at 1/4 in and 8.3 lb/ft²·in requires about 415 lb net or 436 lb with five-percent allowance. That rounds to nine 50 lb bags.

Self-leveling underlayments differ in yield, minimum and maximum depth, water demand and primer system. Copy the selected product's rate into the editable field rather than treating the default as a universal specification.
This is separate from cement screed because the material and supported layer range are different. The estimate covers material quantity, not substrate repair or structural suitability.

Can I use the minimum layer depth? expand_more
Only on a genuinely flat floor. For an uneven substrate, use the average of a grid of level readings or the estimate will omit the fill in low areas.
